Things to do in
Santa Cruz Island
Towns & Cities
The most populous town in the Galapagos Islands and home to some of the main tourist attractions, such as the Charles Darwin Research Station and the main dock.
Practical matters for your tourism needs may be solved here, such as access to in-person banking, internet access via cafes, or plain dining and arts via the main street, Avenida Charles Darwin.
Flights into neighbouring Isla Baltra via the Seymour Airport (GPS) tend to arrive from Quito or Guayaquil during the first half of the day. A bus service exists on the island, with taxi services rounding out the further reaches of hotels and accommodations throughout the Santa Cruz Island area. You may be best served with pre-arranged transport or negotiating a day rate via your hotel reception and concierge staff.
Selecting a cruise itinerary
The main dock is among the few spots where commercial cruise lines may tender guests in a more traditional manner.
