Another interesting site that I enjoy visiting while in Mexico City are the pyramids and ruins of Teotihuacán. Also knows as the pyramids of the Sun and Moon, you can still climb them and the view is spectacular. It’s located North East of Mexico City and is an hours journey with a private car. For those of you who enjoy museums there is a really nice one on site, I suggest touring the museum before you start the climb.

Did we visit the museum before or after we climbed the pyramids @Holly? I don't remember the museum being too busy either way, quite a relaxing atmosphere for such a large attraction and so close to Mexico City.
We should have picked up one of those jaguar calling devices for Jay though haha
We visited the museum before we climbed. We also went durning the week, on the weekends it does get quite busy. I recommend going mid week, you will get the best photos!
haha we should have, those are always fun.
I remembered going mid-week, but couldn’t recall if we had gone to learn about the pyramids in detail before or after our climb.
I also remember thinking that there would have been more options for snacks during a busier period. Was only the vending machines available for something to eat. An ice cold Coke was welcome, it was super hot out, but I would have also enjoyed a more substantial snack.
What’s a traditional treat that local people enjoy when they’re away from home for the day? Spiced mango, for example???
