Maybe you've got a favourite destination and this rings true immediately, but maybe you've only had one or two such experiences of your own in past - but have you ever had a memory sparked by a smell or a sound? Perhaps the taste of some exotic food or, this one's a little bit abstract, just the feel of a place?

I've alluded to it in the video, but a city such as London or Miami - they have a specific feel to them and although it includes the way the cities smell, it includes a few intangibles. I lived in the Germany for a time during my Service, some of the forests had a feeling which distinctly reminded me of the home of my grandparents. A great memory from childhood which I got to relive almost every day that I was off camp and out of the garrison. Later, having spent some years there, I'd come to associate the sight and smell of the forest with both, giving me a great blend of happy memories to take with me or enjoy whenever I come across a pine forest.
If you're reading this, I invite you to share your own tale of travel memories being triggered while in another part of the world or having returned home. Maybe sharing a story of the feelings you've enjoyed when being reminded by a destination.
