European media including Reuters has reported that EU states (there are 26 of them) agreed today to the return of valid, non-essential travel for US passport holders in the near future.

Remembering that each member nation can still enact its own rules and their enforcement, it's still a very welcome step in the right direction now that so many travelers are fully vaccinated and that Europe's own population enjoys similar protections as roll-outs carry on well on the continent.
