I was lucky enough to live in Florida for three years and visiting the keys was always a favourite long weekend get away for me. There's lots experience, including snorkelling, diving, boat tours, lots of fab restaurants and museums.
It's almost a cottage country escape for people living a busy life in Miami and Florida's southeast, isn't it? I know you and I visited Key West at different times, but that we enjoyed exploring a number of the other keys together - which one is your favourite?
I quite enjoyed the aquatic activities around Key Largo, for example. But also the sandbar near Upper Matecumbe Key, the one near Islamorada.
