Short answer, yes! There are two beaches with nearby parking within the state park, Canon Beach and Far Beach.
Long answer, here's what you might expect:
John Pennekamp is located on Key Largo, one of the most convenient Keys to access from Miami and an easy stop to add on any road trip toward Key West.
Key Largo is also really well known for the aquatic activities, snorkeling and even fishing, for example.
Key Largo is not exactly known for its beaches, however, so set the expectation that beach time on this Key is not as much a highlight of the experience as you might expect on other destinations on the route toward Key West.
Both beach areas might be considered a little on the smaller size, but certainly sufficient for a little dip before heading out on a boat to snorkel the nearby reef, or wiggling your toes after coming in from searching for manatees on kayaks!
