We've received a bright and early notice this morning from the St Lucia Tourism Authority indicating that Tropical Storm Dorian has passed the island and that the 'ALL-CLEAR' has been delivered by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO).
The island is typically a little further south than most weather events wander, though we'd remind readers that the Caribbean's hurricane season extends from June through to November and that disruption can take many forms.
To that end, the SLTA has indicated no damage to hotel properties including plant life, airport activity has resumed to normal, roads and other infrastructure remain intact, and that electricity and water supply continue to be unaffected.
All around great news for a place near and dear to my heart!
