Today as at that time, the team here at Odyssean Travel maintains not only a positive outlook, but also continues to recommend our clients visit areas and islands which were otherwise unaffected by seasonal storm activity. Let's not forget that hurricanes have been visiting the Caribbean far longer than the advent of modern tourism!
While we would never wish to distract from the needs of those affected by Dorian, we'd also show our continued support in promoting the Bahamas as a viable holiday destination.
We've seen cruise lines depart Florida for the Bahamas with stores and supplies, charitable donations across the region, and the reopening of any number of private destinations. Not to mention the 14 major island destinations of the Bahamas relatively unaffected and open for business!
