Visiting the Greek Islands? Depending on which set of maps and guides you're using to plan your trip, you'd be forgiven for thinking bless the Greeks for inventing democracy and trigonometry, but how come they're so bad at coming up with place names? Why is everything named 'Chora'!?!
Chora is the Greek word for town. This concept might encompass the most populated areas of an island. That can mean the area around Little Venice in Mykonos or the port areas of Naxos, but it can also just be a tiny village if that village is the biggest tiny village on the island.
