Containing the most densely populated regions of Hong Kong, there are several tourist sites located within the area known as Kowloon which attract tourists, including the Kowloon Walled City site. You may find the regions bustling with people while the typical scene of daily life tends to conjure up images of neon lights and busy restaurants. They'd not be far wrong.
As a visitor you may be headed to Kowloon to enjoy a view across Victoria Harbor or to explore the exemplary cuisine for which Hong Kong is known. Shopping and a few museums or cultural centers might fill the rest of your itinerary.
Planning your trip
You might be able to arrange a day trip on a classic junk to really enjoy the harbor and skyline, but if you're strapped for time even a walk along the shoreline areas near the Clock Tower will provide you with an excellent view at almost any time of day.
When you should go
You'll find a busy scene of daily life no matter what time of day you venture into Kowloon. Many visitors enjoy those views offered after dark, when the neon lights and breathtaking skyline of Hong Kong can be seen from across Victoria Harbor.
