My Passport is About to Expire, can I Still Travel?
Updated: Mar 24, 2021
Each country or cruise ship has different rules when it comes to the validity period of passports for those visiting a new destination or embarking on a cruise vacation.
It's not uncommon for government advisory pages to simply suggest that your passport only requires at least 3 months of validity prior to expiration in order to enter a new country.
However, individual airlines and cruise ships may require a longer period of up to 6 months
We typically recommend all passengers renew their passport immediately when they fall into the last 12 months of their passport's validity and certainly plan to have received their new passport well in advance of any trip.
If in doubt, ask your travel supplier or speak to a qualified travel advisor!
