Ancient Mayan magic meets pristine Caribbean waters! What would you do first, visit the ruins or go for a swim?

Akumal, meaning “Place of turtles” in Mayan. Akumal is one of my all time favourite places, white sand, crystal clear water and amazing sea-life. I have spent many beautiful days snorkelling and relaxing here. I am very much looking forward to returning with my family.

No wonder Cozumel is famous for it, you can dive with over 500+ species of coral. Explore underwater wonders through snorkelling, scuba diving, or marine tours! Have you been to Cozumel? Xcaret is a truly wonderful Cultural experience, stepping back in-time to see how the Mayans existed is astonishing. Have you been? Or do you plan on visiting?

Most will know that Lucha Libre originated in Mexico. This will be one of my first souvenirs returning to Mexico as a now mother of two, especially because my little cuties love to dress up, rough and tumble.

Did you know, “Tulum” means wall, trench or fence in Mayan, but the now iconic name wasn't its first. Tulum was originally Zamá, “City of Dawn”.

Natural freshwater pools formed by collapsed cave systems, these mystical water passages were sacred portals to the underworld for Mayans. Crystal-clear waters, stunning rock formations, and unique underwater ecosystems make them geological treasures.

Our family always opts for a sunny destination, but I have in the past enjoyed a Skiing vacation. I visited San Carlos de Bariloche aka Bariloche which is know for its exceptional skiing in the winter a number of years back. It is a town in Argentina’s Patagonia region. It truly is beautiful and the food is great if you like a stake and dulce de leche. Bariloche is also a great place to visit in the summer for hiking, horse back riding and mountain biking.

This is somewhere in the Caribbean I have been super interested to go for years after chatting with a friend of a friend who’s from Argentina. She told me about the beautiful islands of San Blas that her and her partner visited and what a great time they had and all the sea life they saw. There are approximately 365 islands (could visit one a day for a year) Im now smiling as I’ve been wanting to go for years and never realizes that. Anyone else feeling like I am? I’m sure there are lots of you. Where are the places you would love to go in the next year? I have quiet a few but I know this time will be very different as we will be traveling with our baby. The few places I would like to go include Canada to see family, Mexico 🇲🇽 for a dear friends wedding and Italy just because..oh and Hawaii because who doesn’t want to go there! 😂☀️
