Fresh and welcome news from the Public Health Agency of Canada:
Commencing 05 July 2021 at 11:59PM EDT - that's pretty much after midnight or by the time you wake up on the 6th - fully vaccinated travelers who are permitted to enter Canada and who are arriving by air will no longer be required to stay at a government-authorized hotel, nor will they be subject to federal mandates of quarantine, nor a COVID test on the 8th day following entry (return).
The sun once again rises on your travel dreams, where will you go now?
There are some additional requirements, such as proof of full course of vaccination administered with a vaccine recognized by the Canadian government's health standards, such as Pfizer or AstraZeneca.
Caution also in the wording of "permitted to enter" and that additional constraints are always possible, owing to last-minute changes (COVID has been a bumpy ride, no?) and that air carriers can enforce their own requirements.
This is in addition to travel advisories and the local rules where you may be headed.
Absolutely welcome news, please be safe & careful while you make any new plans to travel or where you intend to continue with earlier plans.
Be sure to review your travel plans and any updated advisories as frequently as may be necessary for your individual needs and don't forget your travel insurance.
