Located on the eastern edge of bustling Almeda Park, the Palacio is renown for its theatre and performance art, including opera. It also regularly hosts more static forms such as painting and sculpture.
The museum of the Palace itself will be of interest to art lovers, while the main attraction is the events hosted in the grand theater.
Planning your trip
As above, the most sought after engagements arise during events which utilize the grand theater. The types of performance vary and may provide far more opportunity for engagement compared to the permanent collection of murals.
Our tip for a great view, although not at all affiliated with the Palacio whatsoever, is from the cafe in the Sears Tower across the street.
When you should go
This attraction is closed on Mondays. Regular hours are 10-6 Tuesday through Sunday, with special events and exhibits featuring their own hours.

Admission is paid and may be arranged in advance or at time of arrival, but may require additional payment for special exhibits or events.
