Also known as "Korinthos", the city's historic significance remains in the channel here which connects the Aegean and Ionian seas. Today, Corinth is a sort of resort destination or vacation spot. The beaches here are popular with locals and offer a mix of busy lounge bars or secluded seaside.
It's accessible as a day trip off the beaten path from Athens or for a longer stay. Be aware that the clear waters and relaxing beaches do not feature sand but instead pebbles.
Planning your trip
Visiting Corinth and arriving by sea might be the realm of small ships, such as private yacht charters and similar experiences. This is especially true if you're looking to transit the canal.
When you should go
As a Greek vacation spot, the city is a bit busier during the summer months of June, July, and August. It can be a bit sleepy, as a day trip you can fit the most in by starting early.
