Pegasus was symbolic of Ancient Corinth and to this day comes with connotations of water. Drinking water, in fact. Today, the winged horse remains well recognized and a fascinating aspect of Greek mythology.
If you're visiting Corinth, you should make the time to see Eleftherios Venizelos Square and say "hello" to Pegasus. There's a great view across the bay, you may catch sight of a luxury yacht before/after crossing the canal.
